How liquids fill cells

Liquids fill finer layers within board cells. A colored cell may contain only some liquid; it is not necessarily full. Liquid in an otherwise empty cell must meet the full-cell condition to count toward clearing a row.

Water, Lava, and other liquid pieces become fluid after placement. Placing solid blocks in liquid can displace it. Passable materials can share cells with liquid.

Reactions depend on where liquids touch, not merely whether both exist somewhere on the board. Water and Lava produce Stone; do not assume recipes from other games apply here.

Layering, steam, and freezing

In Full, materials such as Oil, Snow, Water, and Lava can separate and exchange positions according to density. Steam moves upward. Cold Snap and snow weather can freeze Water and drop Snow.

Lite has fewer liquid reactions. Snow, Oil, Acid, and Steam appearing in the reference does not mean Lite supports all their reactions.

Acid corrosion

In Full, susceptible blocks accumulate corrosion while touching Acid, up to 3. Corrosion can decrease after contact ends. Each point reduces the block’s line-clear damage by 1.

Severe corrosion reduces Obsidian’s remaining clear durability to at most 1 and puts Chess Pieces into their already-triggered state. Losing corrosion afterward does not undo those changes. Cursed Blocks, Gold Blocks, Pollution, liquid materials, and passable materials are immune.

Liquid reactions can cause natural clears when they change the board. The reaction animation itself does not imply additional direct damage.
